Craft Beer Co. was formerly the Clock House pub, listed as mid 19th century.
According to Italophiles:
In the early 1700s, a large brewery covered the end of Leather Lane. By the end of the 1700s and the early part of the 1800s, there were several clockmakers on the street.
The interior has a wonderful mirrored ceiling with a clock face design and a chandelier, and plently of period features. It also has great beers.
An elderly man came in and asked for a sample of Evil Twin ‘Not So Uncommon IPA’ (7.1% abv). He visibly enjoyed the taste.
Man: I’ll have a pint
Barman: We normally serve this in halves. Are you sure you want a pint?
Barman: That’s £7.95
Man: We’ll have two pints
Friend: No, just get us halves!
Man: We’re having two pints
They duly took their pints and sat at a table. It seemed only a matter of minutes later, I looked over to see them finishing the drinks. As they walked to the door, the elderly man seemed a little unsteady on his feet, probably due to his age.
