Goose Island Christmas Ale
It’s a pleasant surprise to find this Goose Island Christmas Ale is so easy drinking after yesterday’s overwhelmingly sweet, syrupy Delirium Christmas beer.
It’s a 6.2% American Brown Ale that tastes predominantly of toffee malts, with a creamy consistency and overall quite a mellow flavour, the hints of orange and cinnamon I think coming from the hops rather than any added spices.
I like this beer and it went too quickly. In that sense too it is a Christmas Beer.
